Food For Thought Friday: Restaurant Review ~ Tutti Frutti

Well, I don't do many restaurant reviews anymore, but when I'm impressed I must give a shout out.

My husband took me to a restaurant that had just opened up last month called Tutti Frutti. This place focuses on breakfast and lunch, but their menu is amazing. Not being a breakfast-type of person, I was skeptical at first, especially since I can't eat most dairy products or eggs. But I was pleasantly surprised.

My egg white omelet and potatoes.
We were their first costumers so we were treated like royalty. The most pleasant woman greeted us when we walked in, who reminded me of my Grandma. After we were sat, we were given a bottle of water and given our menus, and folks, there is something there for everyone.

They have a full breakfast menu, with enough food to fill you up for the rest of the morning (or for me, the rest of the day. lol). They also offer sandwiches, burgers and TONS of fruit. And their juices are freshly squeezed.

What I was really impressed with was how accommodating they are for those who have special diet needs. Not only do I try to eat as gluten-free as possible, I also have dairy, fish and meat intolerance.  So when I asked if I could have the omelet with just egg whites, our wonderful server went out of her way to make sure I got what I needed (and then some...look at the picture...HOLY MOLY!).

The venue is a decent size but if you wanted to bring in a large family, or big party of people, I would recommend calling in advance to assure that you have the proper seating for everyone. I would say this is more out of respect for them as they want to make sure that you have the dining experience you deserve.

The ambiance is fantastic, the staff is accommodating and friendly, the food is delicious and you receive large portions and the location is perfect and accessible. I was so happy to find this gold place within walking distance of where we live. There are other locations in different provinces, so if you get the chance, go check this place out!

My hubby's Egg's Benedict. Isn't the flower a gorgeous touch?

They are open from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you are a brekky person, this IS the new place for you.

I give two thumbs up to this restaurant and we'll definitely be back.
