Music Mantra Monday: Dealing with Hurt
We all feel it at one point. There are different reasons from where it stems from, but every person deals with it in their own way.
Not all ways of dealing with it are good. We know that. Everyone turns to crutches, which I've blogged about, but those are not always healthy things to turn to. You need to face that pain and cope with it. If you don't, you will carry it with you forever and that just isn't healthy. Pain, anger and those negative feelings eat away at you. That's what their job is.
Trust me, I know.
We were going to feature Fab Fourever this week, but we will be bumping it to next week. Today, in light of many things going on in our lives right now, we are featuring this song to inspire all of you to face your 'Hurt'.
Tell it that it can't win. Tell it that you want more than to feel that way. Control it. Focus it.
It's okay to feel pain. It's okay to mourn and to be angry. As my grandfather used to say, life is hard...it gives you hurdles and bumps, but you need to be strong enough to keep going forward.
So, keep going forward. It's not always easy. I know. But you have to do that. Stopping means you give up.
And I refuse to.
There is so much happiness around you that tries to embrace you...to counteract the 'Hurt'.
Focus on that. :)
