Writing Prompt Saturday ~ Hope In Stormy Weather
There's an expression that goes, "If you want to see the sunshine, you have to weather the storm." In other words, life can be tough at times but if you face, and ride through, those times happiness isn't far away.
We all go through those times. They can be minute and simply a bump in the road, or they can be huge requiring more hiking gear to get over. Either way, it isn't the challenge that should be focused on. It's the strength within you to get through it all.
Hey, I'm not saying I'm Arnold Schwarzenegger over here, and you shouldn't be expected to be either. It's inner strength that gets you through, not muscles.
Today, I'm asking you to write about one of those times. I've always found that writing is a very therapeutic way to deal with such moments because it's safe, it's positive and it's yours.
Write a letter to someone who's hurt you. Describe a time when you didn't feel so strong and what you did to build it back up again. Talk about another who may be in need and you aren't quite sure how to help.
The sunshine always comes. Even if temporarily hidden by clouds.
